Terms & Conditions



Any complete adverts supplied in JPEG, PDF or any other format will be inserted into South Coast Media Ltd as supplied and will be assumed not to require copy approval. These files should be supplied at a minimum of 300dpi. No responsibility can be taken for the print quality of any advert supplied at a lower resolution. These files may require re-sizing to fit the appropriate space in the magazine. Final artwork must be received by the copy deadline at the latest.

It is the advertisers’ responsibility to check the advert proof and ensure that it is correct at copy approval stage. No responsibility will be taken by South Coast Media Ltd for any errors subsequently found after copy approval.

Any changes to an existing advert already placed within the magazine must be made by the copy deadline date for the month of publication. It is the advertiser’s responsibility to ask for any changes to be made. No changes can be made to your advert or booking after this date. South Coast Media Ltd charges £5 + VAT for any changes to your advert.

Adverts are accepted on the understanding that descriptions of goods and services are fair and accurate. We cannot be held responsible for views expressed by contributors or any advert content, including errors or omissions. Acceptance of an advertisement does not imply that South Coast Media Ltd in any way endorses companies, services or products that appear in these publications.

We gratefully acknowledge the support of businesses whose adverts we publish and whilst every care is taken to ensure accuracy, we cannot accept responsibility for loss, damage or omission caused by error in the printing of an advert or other information.


Any advert/editorial/article/design which South Coast Media Ltd has created cannot be used in another publication or advertising medium (e.g. website) without the written approval of Local Eye Magazines. A release fee may be payable to South Coast Media Ltd if an advertiser wishes to re-use an advert / editorial / article/ design in this way.

All adverts are accepted by South Coast Media Ltd on the understanding that they are copyright free. This includes any images, logos, photos, trade logos, clip art or any other content that is used in the advert. It is the advertiser’s responsibility to acquire any necessary permission for the use of any images, logos, photos, trade logos, clip art or any other content that is used in their advert / editorial / article / any other content.


South Coast Media Ltd offer discounts for multiple bookings. If you cancel your advertising before the end of the booking period you will be re-invoiced for the correct amount for the number of adverts you have had plus a £10 administration charge. Notification of any cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the copy deadline date or within the period otherwise agreed. If cancellation is made after this time the booking will be fully chargeable.

All cancellations must be in writing by way of a letter or email.



We do not guarantee any position in the magazines except the premium pages (front, back, inside front and back cover) unless a specific position request has been made for a 7.5% additional fee based on a first come, first served basis and only available on half page or larger advertisements. We do not offer any exclusivity to any one particular business. There could/will be other advertisers offering the same service as your business. South Coast Media Ltd reserves the right to refuse/edit advertisements at our discretion.

South Coast Media gives no guarantee of the level of response to adverts/editorial/articles etc and is unable to offer a refund if no response is received. The distribution area of South Coast Media Ltd may vary at the discretion of the publisher.

The publisher shall not be liable for any cost or damages if for any reason the advertisement is not published.
We do not guarantee to supply voucher copies of all magazines in which an advertisement appears except where this has been specifically agreed. Advertisers may contact us for confirmation that an ad has appeared as requested.


Payment is required upfront or in some cases, you can apply for a Credit Account (please ask for a Credit Agreement Application Form). Payment can be made by credit or debit card or alternatively you can pay via bank transfer (Bank details sent on request).
Where a Credit Account is applied for and accepted, should invoices become overdue for a period in excess of fourteen days from the invoice due date for any services will be subject to credit control procedures which may or may not include the filing of a County Court Order. Subsequent County Court judgement and Warrants may or may not be issued.
South Coast Media Ltd reserves the right to charge the Client for all costs and expenses (including legal costs) incurred in the collection of any overdue amount plus an administration charge of £40 + VAT and interest may also be charged for each day that payment has not been made.
The publisher reserves the right to increase the rates at any time with immediate effect. Long term advertisers are protected for the duration of the contract.

Privacy Policy –  We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.


South Coast Media Ltd at all times, reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions set out herein this document without prior written notice to any of its Clients and any subsequent changes will become applicable immediately.

Note: Where the term advert is used this means any advertisement, editorial, article, or any other material (e.g. community content) supplied for publication. When you book an advert verbally, by post or by email you are agreeing to all Terms and Conditions listed above.
